| Description: | To evaluate inhibitory effect of test compound, HNE was preincubated with each compound in the assay solution at 37 deg C for 4 min. The reaction was started by addition of substrate. Hydrolysis of the substrate to pNA was continuously measured spectrophotometrically by monitoring absorbance at 404 nm. IC50 value was estimated using non-linear regression of data to a logistic function. |
